Sherry bombs are the speciality of Glendronach and this is no exception. Interestingly this is not as sweet as you might expect from a PX cask. It is not as complex as the oldies but delicious. – Rating: 86/100
It is very gentle on the nose and doesn not have much of a punch on the palate either, but don’t be fooled. There is quite a lot to discover in this smooth dram. – Rating: 85/100
I do like the spicy notes quite a bit, but there is a certain mustiness (probably the blue corn signature) that I am not a fan of. I much preferred the smoked Brimstone. – Rating: 80/100
A very nice whisky with a somehow quiet character, nothing to ponder about, just to sip and relax. This is suprisingly good blending work by an amateur. – Rating: 82/100
Rich fruity sherry flavours enter a fruitful symbisois with the trademark Bowmore mild peat. Essentially this is a cask strength version of the Darkest. – Rating: 87/100
