Notable Facts: Cardhu plays a major role in the Johnnie Walker blends but is also rather popular as single malt, especially in Spain.

In 2003, a blended malt called Cardhu was sold as “Pure Malt” This caused a lot of uproar and the bottling was taken from the market. Further use of the term Pure Malt is now prohibited by the SWA regulations.

It is now an open secret that whisky industry giant Diageo will launch a new series called “Manager’s Choice” on September 4. News has been leaking for about a week, so Diageo has decided to make it official now.
