On the nose this malt seems older than it actually is, the palate is more youthful. A very strong attack on nose and palate calls for water which brings out more spices in exchange for sweetness. – Rating: 87/100

A nice and fruity Speysider of the “easy sipping” category, quite enjoyable but not overly complex. – Rating: 83/100

Distillery manager Charlie Smith in person hosted a masterclass at the Munich festival. I was delighted to see that their two top bottlings (25yo and 30yo) were poured, along with the 12yo FOCM bottling and the 18yo.
