A very nice peated malt without a doubt, but the rather generic profile lacks some of the depth and richness that previous versions had. – Rating: 85/100
It’s not really a bad whisky, but I think it was bottled too young. The farmy notes are just too strong for my taste. There is a reason why the standard Lagavulin is bottled at 16 years. . – Rating: 81/100
The nose is rather generic but very pleasant. On the palate there is a true flavour explosion of peat, aromatic spices and fruit. One of the greats. – Rating: 92/100
