This cask strength malt is quite similar to the regular Connemara, but it is much more intensely flavoured. With its very complex aromas it is a dram to be enjoyed drop by drop. – Score: 86/100

Gentle peat combined with a fruity freshness that is very enjoyable. A malt with a quite unique character, but somewhat similar to the Croftengea from Loch Lomond, only more gentle and rounded. – Score: 83/100

This bottle costs just €13 at our local HIT supermarket. The quality you get for this price is amazing and easily beats all other blends and single malts below €25 that I have ever tasted. – Rating: 80/100

Quite spicy for an Irish whiskey, too much for me as it isn’t balanced out by the other aromatic components – Score: 62/100

Bushmills 12 yo Caribbean Rum Cask

A very fruity malt, mild but nevertheless with a distinctive taste. Doesn’t really taste “rummy”. – Score: 80/100
