Sherry bombs are the speciality of Glendronach and this is no exception. Interestingly this is not as sweet as you might expect from a PX cask. It is not as complex as the oldies but delicious. – Rating: 86/100
A sherried grain whisky is always something special. This one has very strong wood notes, but in combination with the strong grain profile it works remarkably well. – Rating: 88/100
Some aspects of the palate and especially the nose are truly fantastic, but underneath there is a slight watery feeling that makes me cut a few points. – Rating: 91/100
The nose is to die for, but on the palate this whisky is a bit edgy and not quite as harmonious as I would expect from a 90+ point dram. – Rating: 87/100
It is very gentle on the nose and doesn not have much of a punch on the palate either, but don’t be fooled. There is quite a lot to discover in this smooth dram. – Rating: 85/100
