Now here is a true crunch question: What do you think about using whisky for mixing?

When I did my big whisky glassware comparison in June, I had the idea for this poll. It should be interesting to see how the preferences of whisky drinkers relate to my impressions.

A while ago I wrote an article about sulphur in whisky. But what do whisky lovers actually think about sulphur?

There are two basic philosphies of setting up a whisky festival. I have met fierce supporters of either type but I can’t say if one is more popular than the other across the board. To shed some light on this, I have launched this poll.

The number of whisky blogs has risen to a level that makes it difficult for a single person to oversee the blogging landscape. I thought it might be interesting for bloggers, blog readers and also the whisky industry alike to know a little more about the demograhpics of whisky blogs

The December 2010 poll was about your opinion on whisky awards. For the first time the poll consisted of two questions because two different aspects of whisky awards were to be examined.

Even though I expected a majority in favour of online dramming, I was a little surprised by the margin. This result clearly shows that whisky on the internet is not a mere academic issue. For a big majority of whisky lovers surfing the whisky web is more enjoyable while sipping on a dram.

End of October also saw the end of the Dramming poll about your opinion regarding whisky collecting. 106 whisky lovers have cast their votes in this poll. And what are the results? I think they are quite interesting:

There has always been a debate about collecting whisky. Some say “Whisky is made for drinking. Period.” while others have shelves full of bottles that are unlikely ever to be opened at all.
