Elements of Islay Pl3

by Oliver Klimek on January 4, 2016

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Strong medicinal smoke, hints of bacon, orange zest, liquorice, cloves, hints of camphor, black pepper.
Palate: Strong peat, banana, orange marmalade, vanilla, cloves, allspice, cardamom and pepper.
Finish: Very long, spicy and smoky.
Overall: Yet again this not so secret Islay distillery delivers a powerful and spicy whisky. This thick, almost oily elixir can be savoured by the drop.

Rating: 89/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

This bottling is already sold out.

Port Ellen? I think I have half a bottle and an unopened of this.
If I remember correctly it’s powerful stuff but it can take a bit of water.

No, it’s Port Charlotte.
