Port Askaig 16 yo

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Smouldering embers, pineapple, hints of fresh apples, vanilla, cloves, cardamom, hints of pepper.
Palate: Mild peat, sweet banana, vanilla, “birthday cake”, hints of cloves and nutmeg.
Finish: Medium long, sweet and slighty smoky.
Overall: The nose of this is very intriguing but the palate does not quite live up to the promise. The sweetness is overwhelming and despite the solid ABV the mouthfeel is a bit watery.

Rating: 82/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
