Johnnie Walker “The Spice Road”

by Oliver Klimek on October 9, 2015

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Burnt sugar, vanilla, hints of raisins, allspice, nutmeg, hints of pepper.
Palate: Demerera sugar, vanilla, remote notes of dried figs and raisins, allspice, cinnamon, hints of cardamom and pepper.
Finish: Rather short, sweet and slightly spicy.
Overall: The promised spices are present, and the malt component is actually quite pleasant, but the palate is overwhelmed by the sugar coating of sweet young grain whisky.

Rating: 71/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
