Glen Garioch 1990/2015 Usquebaugh Society

by Oliver Klimek on August 9, 2015

Cask 7937 – 56.7%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Stewed apples, walnuts, orange zest, vanilla, hints of polished wood and nutmeg, just a tiny whiff of smoke.
Palate: Toasted walnuts, apple crumble with custard, banana, hints of black tea, nutmeg, pepper, hints of mint and chili.
Finish: Long, fruity, dry and spicy
Overall: A richly flavoured Glen Garioch that is very typical of older expressions of this distillery. It is quite spicy but not overwhelmingly so.

Rating: 87/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
