Laphroaig Highgrove 1999/2013 Cask 5162

by Oliver Klimek on May 16, 2015

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Pineapple under a layer of freshly disinfected hospital foor, vanilla, cloves, hints of pepper.
Palate: Medium peat, pineapple, banana, tangerine, vanilla, cloves, hints of nutmeg.
Finish: Very long, fruity and smoky.
Overall: Quite an exceptional cask that has an amazing fruitiness already at a relatively young age, but the typical Laphroaig DNA is always present.

Rating: 91/100 – No price rating as this bottle is already a collector’s item
