Ardmore 1991/2013 Rum Barrel Malts of Scotland

by Oliver Klimek on March 12, 2015

Cask 13018 – 53.8%

 My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Lemon zest, marzipan, toasted nuts, some peat smoke, polished wood and nutmeg.
Palate: Medium peat, dried pineapple, lemon zest, vanilla, hints of white chocolate, nutmeg and pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly smoky.
Overall: If you expected a sweet elixir, you will be disappointed. This whisky is very elegant, a mix of peat and fruit with a just light sweetness.

Rating: 87/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
