Invergordon 1988/2014 Wemyss “Caribbean Crème”

by Oliver Klimek on February 19, 2015

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Burnt sugar, vanilla, lemon zest, ripe banana, wood polish, candied ginger and nutmeg.
Palate: Tinned peaches, custard, lemon zest, hints of walnut, ginger and pepper.
Finish: Rather long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: Rather light bodied but with quite a bit of flavour inside, this is quite an elegant single grain whisky. Water kills it quickly, though.

Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Apparently this bottle is already sold out.
