Tamdhu 1988/2012 Malts of Scotland

by Oliver Klimek on January 26, 2015

Sherry hogshead 12029 – 52.3%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Blackberries, cherries, light toffee, cinnamon, hints of pepper.
Palate: Mixed berry compote, raisins, milk chocolate, cinnamon, hints of allspice and pepper
Finish: Medium long, fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: Both nose and palate are fairly restrained, there really is not much interesting going on. It sips nicely but I expect a bit more from a whisky of this age.

Rating: 83/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
