Glendronach 20 yo 1994/2014 Abbey Whisky Exclusive

by Oliver Klimek on January 22, 2015

Cask 3400 – 54.8%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Mahogany
Nose: Ripe cherries, blackberries, wood polish, cigar tobacco, cocoa, hints of balsamic vinegar and allspice.
Palate: Cherries, dates, dark toffee, balsamic vinegar, dark chocolate, hits of mint and pepper, quite tannic.
Finish: Long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: The wood has been very active on this cask, not only because of the very dark colour. The strong tannins are kept just in check by the fruity sherry aromas. A sherry monster for those who like it strong.

Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
