Glen Garioch 1989/2014 Wemyss, “Peaches and Cream”

by Oliver Klimek on October 12, 2014

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Yes, there is a hint of peach, also banana, vanilla, polished wood and candied ginger as well as some nutmeg.
Palate: Mixed fruit cocktail, vanilla, lemon zest, light toffee, nutmeg, hints of cardamom and pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and minimally smoky.
Overall: A very nice whisky from the time they still had their own floor maltings at Glen Garioch. The hint of smoke goes very well with the creamy fruitiness.

Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
