Glendronach 9 yo 1987/1997 Signatory

by Oliver Klimek on August 24, 2014

Sherry Butt 57 – 58.5%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Copper
Nose: Quite strong, wine gums wrapped in Black Forest ham, dates, cherries, hints of balsamic vinegar, leather and pepper.
Palate: Mild but well-present peat, strong tea, dates and prunes, coffee fudge, cinnamon, cardamom and pepper.
Finish: Long and fruity and slightly smoky.
Overall: The youth of this surprisingly smoky whisky from the late stages of the Paxarette age can be noticed, but still it has an amazing complexity for a 9 year old.

Rating: 88/100 No price information since this is a collectors bottle
