Probably from around 1980 – 42%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Tinned peaches, pears, vanilla, whiffs of a dusty attic, nutmeg and pepper.
Palate: Poached pears, banana, vanilla, ligght caramel, hints of corn flakes, gigner, nutmeg and pepper.
Finish: Medium long, slightly fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: Spain is almost unknown as a whisky distilling nation, but DYC has quite a long tradition. This blend is quite nice and easy going and certainly not worse than more famous brands.
Rating: 76/100 –No price information since this is a vintage bottle
