Glenrothes 23 yo 1990/2014 Single Malts Of Scotland

by Oliver Klimek on June 2, 2014

Hogshead 35484 – 49.4%

46%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Red apples, raspberries, lemon sherbet, vanilla, hints of ginger and nutmeg.
Palate: Apples, fizzy lemons and raspberries again, custard, mild honey, just a hint of candied ginger and pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: Very enjoyable. If you believe in whisky regions, this would be your typical unsherried Speysider. Not the most complex of malts, but the balance of fruit, sweetness and spice is just right.

Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
