My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Strong vanilla, freshly cut wood, hints of fresh mushrooms, even a little tar (!), dusty white pepper.
Palate: Very much the same as the nose, the mushroom notes are suprisingly strong, there is also some lemon and ginger now.
Finish: Long, spicy and slightly fruity.
Overall: This whisky is most unusual but I really like it. The mushroomy character is actually quite intriguing and the bottling strength of 100 Imperial proof gives it a nice punch.
