My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright copper
Nose: Cassis, cherries, dark chocolate, orange zest, hints of freshly cut wood and nutmeg.
Palate: Mixed forest berries, chocolate fudge, hints of coffee, nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: A well done wine finish that leaves enough room for the whisky to be noticed. It is quite smooth, maybe even a tad too much so.
