Talisker Port Ruighe

by Oliver Klimek on January 17, 2014

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Amarena cherries, blueberry muffins, wood smoke, cardamom, white pepper.
Palate: Medium peat, sweet cherries, caramel, hints of tea, cardamom, nutmeg and pepper.
Finish: Long, sweet, fruity and smoky.
Overall: The port finish adds a very sweet fruitiness that fortunately does not quite succeed in destroying the Taliskerness of this whisky.

Rating: 84/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Buy Talisker Port Ruighe at Master of Malt

Tasted blind for the 2013 Malt Maniacs Awards where it won a bronze medal, re-tasted for notes.
