Dalmore Vintage 2000

by Oliver Klimek on December 12, 2013

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark red amber
Nose: Blackberries, raisins, sweet pipe tobacco, cedar wood, hints of rubber, cinnamon.
Palate: Caramel syrup from Starbucks, raisins, cocoa, cinnamon and orange zest on the plus side, but there is also a very odd and slightly bitter off note the luckily fades away quite quickly that might be best described as sweet sherry soaked cardboard.
Finish: Medium long, fruity and sweet.
Overall: If it were not for that odd cardboardy tang, this whisky would actually be pretty good. But so it isn’t.

Rating: 72/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
