Cask 7646 – 49.3%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright copper
Nose: Prunes, orange marmalade, marzipan, old oak, hints of cinnamon and cocoa.
Palate: Prunes, dates, orange zest, espresso, sweet toffee, cinnamon, hints of nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: On one hand this is a very nice whisky with no real flaws, on the other hand I would have expected a bit more from a whisky of that age. The palate feels a bit unbalanced.
