Glen Moray 21 yo 1990/2012 Single Cask Collection

by Oliver Klimek on May 6, 2013

Bourbon hogshead 4560 – 55%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Stewed apples, lime, butterscotch, candied ginger, hints of polished wood.
Palate: Apples, sweet melon, hints of banana, fudge, walnuts, ginger, pepper and hints of nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: If you give this dram some time and a few drops of water, the initial shyness is soon forgotten. Delicate fruitiness paired with robust spice

Rating: 88/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2012 where it won a bronze medal, re-tasted for notes

sure about the price (4/5) and value for money (2/5) rate? for 75€, a 21 year old Glen Moray of such quality, I think that´s fine!

Sorry, I made a mistake because I confused it with another bottle. You are right, price and value are now both 3/5

not that I´m picky, but on the very rare occasions where Austria can contribute to the whisky world, I have to defend my fellow citizen 🙂
