Sherry butt 1 – 44.2%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright copper
Nose: Cassis, cherries, dried apricots, toffee, cedar wood, nutmeg, hints of cardamom.
Palate: Mixed dried fruit, Earl Grey tea, toffee, cinnamom, cardamom, nutmeg, hints of pepper.
Finish: Long, dry and spicy.
Overall: There is an unusual amount of spices in this sherried malt, the fruit is almost in the background. It is quite dry but still pleasant on the palate.
