Aberfeldy Unravel

by Oliver Klimek on April 27, 2013

Single cask – 56.5%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright copper
Nose: Raisins, dried figs, burnt sugar, dusty cupboard, hints of nutmeg.
Palate: Figs and dates, creme brulee, orange zest, nutmeg, hints of sweet chili.
Finish: Rather short, fruity and spicy.
Overall: After a rather strong initial sherry punch the aromas fade away rather quickly. It feels young and a bit unbalanced, though not unpleasant.

Rating: 78/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2012 where it won a bronze medal, re-tasted for notes
