Glen Scotia 1991 Wemyss “Strawberry Ganache”

by Oliver Klimek on April 21, 2013

Sherry butt – 46%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright copper
Nose: Red berries, fresh figs, raisins, cocoa, polished oak, hints of nutmeg.
Palate: Quite like the nose with a splash of black tea and a pinch of cinnamon.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly dry.
Overall: Not really too strawberry-y, but the “ganache” descriptor is quite fitting. Expect some tannins.

Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
