Kornog ‘Taouarc’h an Hanv’ 2012

by Oliver Klimek on April 19, 2013

Peated single malt from Glann an Mor, Brittany – 58.7%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Straw
Nose: Cold smoke, grapefruit, vanilla, almonds, hints of porridge, cloves and pepper.
Palate: Strong peat, vanilla, lemon zest, pear, toasted almonds, liquorice and strong pepper.
Finish: Long and smoky.
Overall: A young peat monster from France, quite enjoyable overall but it still has some rough edges.

Rating: 84/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2012 where it won a bronze medal, re-tasted for notes
