Cask 2 – 42.6%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark chestnut
Nose: A lovely mix of old leather and wood with dark fruits and chocolate.
Palate: Blackberries, cassis, prunes, dark chocolate, coffee, hints of nutmeg and allspice.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly dry.
Overall: Here is an amazing example how a whisky can taste ‘old’ with very little wood influence. And it has strong sherry without being a monster. The smoothness of this whisky is exceptional.
