From Liebl in Bavaria – 43%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Medium amber
Nose: Porridge with a little rubber, vanilla, stewed apples, nuts, wood polish, cardamom and hints od pepper.
Palate: Porridge again, served with mashed apples and a sprinkle of brown sugar. And a good helping of pepper.
Finish: Short, dry and slightly fruity.
Overall: If the German distillers just were a little more patient with their whisky. This is still too rough and newmake-y to be really enjoyable.
Rating: 65/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
