Blue corn whisky from Texas – 61.5%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark copper
Nose: Toasted nuts, sawdust, vanilla, popcorn, caramel, cane syrup, allspice and pepper.
Palate: Toasted corn, caramelized walnuts, vanilla, bitter oranges, cinnamon, allspice and pepper.
Finish: Very long, musty and spicy.
Overall: I do like the spicy notes quite a bit, but there is a certain mustiness (probably the blue corn signature) that I am not a fan of. I much preferred the smoked Brimstone.
Rating: 80/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
