Refill sherry butt – 42.3%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Polished old oak, bees wax, orange blossom honey, a dense mixture of fruity aromas, slightly herbal.
Palate: Mild honey, raiains, apples, dried apricots, mixed mild spices, rose water and a variety of fresh garden herbs.
Finish: Very long, herbal and slightly dry.
Overall: If you have £8000 to spare, you will be rewarded with an excellent and very unusual whisky. Remarkably little wood influence after 60 years in the cask, I can only call it intensely delicate.
