Cask 3593 – 57.4%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark copper
Nose: Rather intense, prunes, balsamic vinegar, chocolate, wood polish, hints of tobacco.
Palate: Prunes, amarena cherries, milk chocolate, hits of vinegar and cinnamoin.
Finish: Quite short, smooth and fruity.
Overall: A shy sherry monster, the powerful nose is followed by a fairly modest palate and finish. Very nice aromas but it is over too soon.
Rating: 84/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2012 where it won a silver medal, re-tasted for notes.
