My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Raisins, stewed apples, grapefruit, vanilla, nutmeg and a light whiff of sea air.
Palate: Raisins, apples, orange zest, caramel, candied ginger and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly briny.
Overall: A very nice daily dram with a faint hint of what some might call ‘coastal’, overall it is quite subtle but very enjoyable.
Rating: 82/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2012, re-tasted for notes.
Note: I already tasted ths whisky over three years ago and didn’t really like it. Whether my palate has developed (it was one of the first tasting notes on this blog) or the bottling has changed is impossible to say, it may well be a combination of both.
