My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Medium amber
Nose: Wood smoke, a hint of sawdust, dried apricots, fudge, liquorice, ginger and freshly ground pepper.
Palate: Rather strong peat, dried apricots, lemon, vanilla, strong green tea, liquorice cloves and pepper.
Finish: Long with dry fruit and spicy smoke.
Overall: One of those flavour compositions that only the Japanese can create with boldness and delicacy in perfect balance.
