Cask BBR888 – 53.5%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright copper
Nose: Smoked mackerel garnished with dried figs and sprinkled with thick soy sauce, Corsican figatellu, tobacco and much more.
Palate: Dry peat, mint, strong tea, savoury herbs and spices, beef stock, water brings out fruit, notably orange and raisins.
Finish: Long, meaty and slighty fruity.
Overall: This is a most unusual whisky and it’s truly kaleidoscopic. There are so many flavours that seem to be shifting constantly that a little of it goes a long way.
Rating: 89/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
