First fill bourbon cask 378/07 – 58.4%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale straw
Nose: Wood smoked pears, vanilla, raw peat (yes!), lemon and ginger.
Palate: Strong peat, hints of pears again, citrus in between lime and lemon, vanilla, green tea, hints of liquorice and ginger.
Finish: Long, dry and smoky with a slightly salty ending.
Overall: Crisp and clean with quite an amazing depth of flavours for such a young whisky. They know how to make good whisky on the Rhinns, and the bottlers know how to select good casks.
Rating: 87/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
