My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Rum-soaked raisins, sweet black cherries, oxtail soup with sherry.
Palate: Raisins, figs, cherries, sweet toffee, cocoa, hints of nutmeg and cinnamon.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly meaty.
Overall: A rather typical Benrinnes with that meaty sherry character we also often find in Mortlach, but the fruity aromas are stronger here.
