Cask 14570 – 46%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Apricot, creme brulee, vanilla, hints of lemon, polished wood, candied ginger.
Palate: Dark caramel, vanilla, apricots and apples, lemon zest, nutmeg, hints of cardamom, quite some wood tannins.
Finish: Long, fruity and dry.
Overall: This has a wonderful trademark aged grain nose, but on the palate the wood takes the lead a little too much.
Rating: 83/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
