Sherry cask 4412 – 56.5%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Copper
Nose: Dried figs, prunes, marzipan, leather, cigar box, cinnamon and nutmeg, hints of marmite.
Palate: Brandy-soaked Christmas pudding, orange zest, dark chocolate, espresso, hints of oxtail soup, nutmeg and black pepper.
Finish: Very long, fruity and slightly dry.
Overall: The quintessential sherried Mortlach, bursting with flavour, this is essentially a complete Christmas dinner in liquid form.
Rating: 89/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
