My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Dried figs, raisins, dates, a tiny whiff of soy sauce, polished old oak, nutmeg, hints of orange zest.
Palate: Mixed dried fruit, Earl Grey tea, Seville orange zest, nutmeg, hints of lovage, somewhat tannic and minimally meaty.
Finish: Very long, dry and slightly spicy with a wee bit of smoke at the end.
Overall: A delicious but rather dry bottling of Glenfarclas, the fruitiness of younger expressions has given way to an almost savoury character.
