Belgian Owl 3 yo

by Oliver Klimek on September 20, 2012

Single malt from Belgium – 46%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark straw
Nose: Wet hay, cooked vegetables, hints of nuts and pear, slightly perfumy, fresh mint, camphor.
Palate: Rather sweet, mixed fresh herbs, cereals, vanilla, hints of citrus and pepper.
Finish: Medium long, sweet,  and slightly spicy.
Overall: The nose of this young whisky is very strange but it has a fascinating complexity. The palate does not quite live up to this, but for a three year old whisky it is not bad at all.

Rating: 66/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
