Pedro Ximenez Finish – 43%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright copper
Nose: Big fruity smoke, hints of smoked ham, forest berries, orange zest, cloves and nutmeg.
Palate: Tamed but well-present peat, cherries and berries, Earl Grey tea, dark chocolate, cloves, hints of liquorice and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: This legendary dram delivers top quality, year after year. Peat and sherry in a fruitful symbiosis.
Rating: 89/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Good to hear that the peat manages to hold its own against the PX sherry. That stuff is just insanely sweet on its own.
The best PX peater I could try was the 2011 Feis Ile Ardbeg which was just heavenly. No formal rating since it was in the late stages of a dramming get-together, but in 90+ territory.
