My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Raisins, figs, dried apricots, orange zest, toffee, mace and cardamom.
Palate: Raisins, figs, dried apricots, prunes, toffee, hints of black tea, nutmeg, hints of pepper and a little smoke.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly dry and spicy.
Overall: A wonderfully rich sherried malt that combines youthful freshness with maturity.
Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

It’ll be interesting to see if Glenfarclas picks up any customers after Macallan’s switch to mostly NAS whisky. ‘Farclas 12 is a strong argument for the quality of their single malts.
Another strong argument is the price, I think. Often you’ll find the liter bottle for only a few bucks than the 0,7, around 35€.
