Ardbeg Alligator

by Oliver Klimek on September 5, 2012

General Release – 51.2%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Tarry smoke, burnt rubber, vanilla, liquorice, lemon zest, cloves, nutmeg and pepper.
Palate: Strong peat, vanilla, burnt brisket ends, lemon and orange zest, liquorice, burnt sugar, nutmeg and pepper.
Finish: Long, sweet and spicy.
Overall: The extreme charring of the casks makes this a quite unusal Ardbeg thay may repel the faint of heart. It has strong flavours and an almost chewy mouthfeel.

Rating: 87/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
