My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Green apples, melons, vanilla, walnuts, raisins, butterscotch, nutmeg, hints of pepper, the tiniest whiff of smoke.
Palate: Caramelized apples, vanilla, toasted nuts, candied ginger, nutmeg, hints of pepper and mediterranean herbs.
Finish: Very long, creamy and slightly spicy.
Overall: The strong points of this high-quality blend are the wonderful nose and the very long finish. But also the palate manages to convince a dedicated malthead that blends can be delicious too.
