Miltonduff 1980/2011 Malts of Scotland

by Oliver Klimek on July 22, 2012

Bourbon hogshead 12429 – 44.7%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Honey, overripe banana, mango, vanilla, butterscotch, freshly cut wood, hints of ginger and pepper.
Palate: Waxy honey, banana, stewed apples, vanilla, hints of nuts, candied ginger and pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and slighty spicy.
Overall: A loveley old malt where age and freshness are perfectly balanced. Even at a low strength like this, it benefits from a few drops of water.

Rating: 88/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
