Islay single malt – 58%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Straw
Nose: Stinging wood smoke, pineapple, banana, lemon, vanilla, liquorice, cloves and pepper.
Palate: Strong peat, vanilla, lime, sweet liquorice, cloves, nutmeg and pepper.
Finish: Long, smoky and spicy.
Overall: With the nose of a peat monster that takes no prisoners and a sweet but dry palate that is dominated by spices, this malt is not for the faint of heart. But delicious it is.
Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
